Moving together for Men’s Health this Movember

The Orange Hire team raises funds with fitness challenges and marvellous mo’s!

Movember 2021 is an important event to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, men’s health and men’s suicide.

This year the Orange Hire team got behind the cause, banding together with individual fitness challenges and of course, sporting some fabulous face fuzz.

The Orange Hire team, led by our Newcastle Branch Manager David Broad, managed to raise a whopping $1695 for men’s health during the month of November.

Along with the staff growing a handlebar, a Magnum P.I. or a Fu Manchu, a few of our team have opted for fitness challenges.

Covering over 230 kilometres as a team, we’ve had some awesome efforts from Brent Andersen, walking 57 kilometres and Hilton May from our Toowoomba branch covering 83km. Our very own ‘Mo sister’ Nicole Radcliffe has walked 20km, and Marcus Hancock has set a goal for ‘60 a day’.

“Globally we lose 60 men every hour to suicide,” says Marcus.

“This November I am committed to 60 a day – every day, it may be 60 push-ups, 60 active minutes, or a 60km ride.”

The Movember Foundation works to make positive changes to men’s health issues around the globe, helping to change behaviours, create services that work specifically for men, and unite experts to change the way that men in need are treated and supported.

November might have been and gone but you can still donate to the cause and support the Orange Hire team by visiting our team page here: https://au.movember.com/team/2402169.

We appreciate the support of our customers, suppliers, colleagues and friends!
